Kiara Advani's first glimpse from her character Nadia in her upcoming movie Toxic was released on Sunday morning. The poster of her role from the movie was dropped by Yash, the male lead, on his Instagram account. Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Adults is Yash's first movie since the end of the wildly popular KGF franchise in 2022 and Kiara's first since she became a mother earlier this year. The caption on the post read, "Introducing Kiara Advani as NADIA in - A Toxic Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups. #TOXIC #TOXICTheMovie."
Kiara Advani was shown standing in the limelight on a dance floor while wearing a black, off-the-shoulder, thigh-high split gown. She stared pensively away from the camera in the poster. Her face is dripping with tears.
Kiara Advani was caught in a moment of startling complexity when she first sees Nadia. A deeper look reveals a character with deep emotional dimensions, despite the poster's initial presentation of her in a glamorous spotlight against a colorful circus scene. A sense of loss and melancholy lurks beneath the show, indicating a move toward a performance-driven story.

Kiara Avani's fans compared her characters from Tim Burton movies and even the DC character Harley Quinn because of her somewhat gothic appearance in the first look poster. Many reacted with hearts and heart-eye emojis in the comment section. A user wrote, "Waiting..." Another user wrote, "Kiara as Nadia looks powerful."

Reflecting on Kiara Advani's portrayal, Toxic director Geetu Mohandas said "Some performances don’t just belong to a film, they redefine an artist. What Kiara created on screen in this film is nothing short of transformative. As a director, I am deeply proud of her and for the performance she has delivered, and for the faith and heart she brought into our shared journey."
Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has been filmed simultaneously in English and Kannada, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and several other languages, underscoring its global ambition. Toxic is slated for a grand theatrical release on the long festive weekend of 19th March 2026, coinciding with Eid, Ugadi and Gudi Padwa.
This nuanced portrayal suggests that Nadia is much more than a traditional part, pointing to a pivotal moment that might define Kiara Advani's career.
