Yatra 2 OTT Release Date: Mammootty-starrer 'Yatra 2' will soon release on the OTT platform after its theatrical run. The movie received a decent response from the audience and was praised due to the amazing performance of the star cast. 'Yatra 2' is based on the life of the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy. Directed by Mahi V Raghav, the movie also stars Jiiva in the lead role.

According to the website Binged, 'Yatra 2' will release on Prime Video on March 8.

During the interaction with the media, Mahi V Raghav talked about the controversies of the movie. He said, "Did the emotional moments depicted in the teaser occur? or? Apart from that, did we relate the scene’s emotion to the people involved? That’s the film’s main goal. One could interpret certain scenes as YSR’s numerous successful initiatives for the underprivileged and disabled. We have shown the character of the blind man to highlight that when YS Jagan went on a padayatra, many people stood behind him. In this film, the reasons for YSR’s death are not shown. It only revolves around the point of a promise given by a father to a son."

On the work front, Mammootty was last seen in the horror thriller movie 'Bramayugam', which received an amazing response from the audience.

He was also seen in 'Kaathal The Core' along with Jyothika. During the promotion of the film, Mammootty said that 'Kaathal The Core' is a revolutionary film. He said, "Its subject is quite revolutionary. However, the narrative unfolds within a small locality, focusing on a single household.”

He also praised Jyothika and said that her simplicity comes from her husband Suriya. He said, "Suriya is very simple. Even Suriya’s family have always been grounded. I have now lived with them for 16 years in that house. It is all coming from there. I think we just become like that. It’s nature.”

Mammootty will next star in the movie 'Turbo'.
