Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani 2 In Making?: It's been over a decade since Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani was released, and it still continues to be a fan favourite for its gripping storyline and depiction of friendships. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film starred Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Kalki Koechlin, and Aditya Roy Kapur in lead roles. Recently, the makers re-released the movie in theaters to celebrate its 11th anniversary, and the audience's response showed the lasting impact the movie made with its initial release. From unforgettable dialogues to chartbuster soundtracks, every rewatch of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani brings back nostalgia. Fans are eagerly awaiting a sequel and actor Kunal Roy Kapur recently spoke about the chances of a second part.
Reacting to the Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani 2 buzz, Kunal Roy Kapur, who played the role of Taran in the movie, doesn’t believe there is any possibility of a sequel. In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, he said, "It is complete. It is already done, right? The journeys of those characters are done. They are not needed really."
In the film, Kalki's character, Aditi, gets married to Taran after realizing that she is in one-sided love with Aditya Roy Kapur's character. When asked where his and Kalki’s characters might be today, Kunal replied, "Given the graph of the movie, they would not be in a divorce court. They would definitely be a happily married couple. I can’t tell if she would be happily married with Taran, but he would probably be happy."
Although Kunal and Kalki Koechlin have a different take on the sequel and believe there is nothing more to revisit in the story, Bunny (Ranbir Kapoor) has different thoughts. He believes it would be interesting to have a part 2 of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

Earlier, during an interaction with fans, Ranbir said, "I think Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani would make a good sequel... Ayan also had a very nice story, I remember, but then he went into this Brahmastra journey. But, never say never. He might make it after a couple of years. I think the story will be 10 years forward, where Bunny, Naina, Avi, and Aditi are in their lives. I think it’ll be quite interesting and nice to explore those characters."
The movie, directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar, and Apoorva Mehta, released in 2013. It earned around Rs 188.57 crore at the Indian box office and Rs 318.00 crore worldwide.
