Yevam On OTT: Directed by Prakash Dantuluri and starring Chandini Chowdary, Jai Bharat Raj, and Vasishta N. Simha, Yevam is a Tollywood thriller that premiered with little fanfare on June 14. Produced on a modest budget by Navdeep and Pavan Goparaju, Yevam seeks to explore themes of female empowerment and objectification. However, the film received mixed reviews for its writing and execution. Despite a promising premise, the film struggled at the box office and received mixed reviews, failing to capitalise on its opening weekend. However, it has now made its digital debut.

Yevam: Plot and cast
The film centers on a crime drama set in Vikarabad district, Telangana, where a serial offender lures women with false ads promising dates and scenic drives with famous actors. Chandini Chowdary delivers a compelling performance as a determined young female police officer fighting to make her mark in a male-dominated world.
It stars Chandini as Soumya, a young police officer determined to catch a serial killer despite limited support from her superiors. The film’s antagonist, played by Vasishta Simha, has been praised for his standout performance. Other notable cast members include Ramesh Konambhotla playing CP, Ashu Reddy as Harika and Jai Bharat Raj as Abhiram alongside Kalpitha, Goparaju Ramana, and Vasishta N. Simha as Yugandhar.
The film's soundtrack, created by Keertana Sesh and Neelesh Mandalapu, enhances the storytelling and adds emotional depth to the narrative. Srujana Adusumilli served as the editor for the film, while Divya Narayan contributed as the co-writer, crafting the script and dialogues.
