The highly anticipated fifth and final season of Netflix's You is set to hit the streaming platform in 2025, concluding the thrilling and twisted saga of one of television's most enigmatic antiheroes. Netflix has confirmed a 2025 release for You Season 5. Initially slated for 2024, the season faced delays due to the Hollywood writers' and actors' strikes. While the exact date remains under wraps, production wrapped earlier this year, signaling that Joe Goldberg's return is just around the corner.
Season 5 picks up where Season 4 left off, with Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) returning to New York alongside Kate Lockwood-Goldberg (Charlotte Ritchie). However, the "happily ever after" they envision is quickly disrupted.
Netflix teases the season with the logline:
"Joe Goldberg returns to New York to enjoy his happily ever after… until his perfect life is threatened by the ghosts of his past and his own dark desires."

Expect the final season to delve deeper into Joe's psyche as he confronts his past while attempting to maintain his new life. Like its predecessors, Season 5 will consist of 10 episodes, bringing the series total to 50 episodes.

Tati Gabrielle (Marienne Bellamy) was spotted filming in New York, signaling her return.
Additional cast members include Natasha Behnam, Pete Ploszek, Tom Francis and Nava Mau as Detective Marquez.While a trailer is yet to be released, Netflix unveiled two teaser posters on December 19, 2024. The posters, titled "A Killer Goodbye" and "Guilty Treasures," hint at a haunting and suspenseful finale.
