Zara Hatke Zara Bachke follows the story of a couplle who want a house of their own away from their family. Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal use the Indian Government's flagship program Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) to get it.

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke-

Saumya Chawla and Kapil Dubey are a happily married couple living in a small house with the latter's family. While Saumya comes from a Punjabi family, Kapil, also known as Kapu, comes from a Brahmin family, who are strictly vegetarians. As a result, he takes his wife out every day so she may enjoy non-vegetarian meals. Although Kapil makes less money than Saumya as a yoga instructor, their love is unaffected by this, as seen in the Laxman Utekar film.

But, problems come when the duo struggles with privacy issues in their own house. To buy a separate house for themselves, Saumya desperately looks for ways in which she can own a house, while Kapu is not too eager.

They fall for a government plan since they cannot pay high EMIs, and as a result, they fake divorce to be eligible for lottery allotment. They split up and begin living apart while pretending to detest one another.

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke- What Works?

The comic timing that I would like to mention in the first place is brilliantly executed in the film. Rakesh Bedi and Sushmita Mukherjee, who play Saumya's parents are entertaining and loyal to their roles. There's a scene from the movie where Bedi and Vicky Kaushal have a deep conversation regarding divorce. Bedi, who is high on drinks tries to figure out the situation which annoys Kapu and it is really funny to watch.

The entire courtroom scene, when Saumya and Kapil's attorney enthusiastically attempts to persuade the judge, is amusing. He should receive a perfect score for acting. He is undoubtedly one of the film's most significant elements.

Moving back to Kapil's family, his uncle and aunt's son played his part pretty well. He unlocks the refrigerator, which is stored in the room where Kapil and Saumya were making out, and a scene ensues. It is admirable how he provides humorous relief throughout the entire narrative.

Additionally, in a scene where a government official shows up to audit Saumya's home and establish that she is indeed living separately from her husband following their divorce, the two are almost caught. A standing ovation is in order for the scene in which Kapil, who is currently with her, plays the role of a plumber.

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke- What Doesn't Work?

At times, the entertainment factor makes us bored. The second portion of the tale likewise appears dragged. When Deepa Mami (Kapu's aunt) was ill, it creates needless drama. As the authors couldn't think of anything more to add, this merely looked forced in the plot.

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke- Cast Performance

I must say Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal do look good together onscreen as a couple. Their nail-biting chemistry is too sweet to handle.

This time, Sara plays her part pretty well. She sometimes goes too far, but never to the point where it becomes annoying. On the other hand, Vicky Kaushal plays a 'desi' Romeo who can do anything to keep his wife happy. Vicky displays a wide range of emotions, and he keeps the romantic ambience alive on screen by acting like a besotted lover.

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke- Final Verdict

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is a full entertainer movie that can be watched with family. Laxman Utekar did a great job in the first half but the second half looked dragged. You will feel happy, sad, and emotional while watching Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal-starrer. The movie is certainly worth watching for its comic timings and the myriad of emotions, but it had a lot more potential.
