Veteran actor Zeenat Aman recently took to Instagram to reminisce about the charismatic late director Feroz Khan and shared an intriguing incident from the set of the 1980 film 'Qurbani.' Aman, known for her candid storytelling, disclosed why Feroz Khan had once cut her pay during the shooting of the iconic movie. In her Instagram post, Aman began by acknowledging Feroz Khan's undeniable charisma, stating, "I read somewhere that Oxford's word for the year 2023 is 'rizz' - short for 'charisma.' Well, if I've ever known anybody to have rizz, it was Feroz Khan." She then delved into the 1970s when her career was soaring, and Feroz approached her for a role in his upcoming production.

The veteran actor revealed a rocky start to their professional relationship, recounting a telephone conversation where she politely declined a secondary role, leading to Feroz's initial frustration. Aman, known for her dedication to work, shared an incident that highlighted Feroz Khan's influence on her regarding set etiquette. Recalling a night of revelry that made her arrive an hour late to the set, she vividly painted the scene where Feroz, suave and polished, made a decisive move. "Feroz was glowering behind his camera, and before I could offer him my meagre excuse, he cut me down to size. 'Begum, you're late and you're going to pay for the delay.' No argument, no scolding, but you can be sure that he docked my pay to pay the crew for that one-hour delay!"

'Qurbani,' released in 1980, was both directed and acted in by Feroz Khan. The film featured a stellar cast including Vinod Khanna, Zeenat Aman, and Amjad Khan. It explored themes of friendship, betrayal, and revenge, achieving commercial success during its time. Zeenat Aman, who made her Instagram debut in February 2023, has been sharing reflective thoughts on various topics.

The actor is set to appear in 'Bun Tikki,' produced by Manish Malhotra, alongside Shabana Azmi and Abhay Deol. Zeenat Aman, celebrated for her unconventional roles in hits like 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram,' 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna,' and 'Dhund,' continues to captivate audiences with her anecdotes and contributions to Indian cinema.
