On Vijayadashami, devotees bid an emotional farewell to Maa Durga as the goddess was immersed following traditional rituals across Cyber City and surrounding sectors in Gurugram. The celebrations began with worship and aarti, followed by the Sindoor Khela, in which women applied vermilion to the deity and sought blessings for marital bliss.
At the community centre in Sector 15, Part 2, during the Durga Utsav organised by the Purva Palli Durga Samiti, Maa Durga was sent off through the Darpan Visarjan (immersion through a mirror) and Bandhan Khol (untying of bonds) rituals. Immersions were also carried out in Sectors 4, 40, 46, 56, 57, and 108, adhering to traditional customs.
