Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has taken a significant step to improve the electricity system across Gurugram. To provide an uninterrupted and quality power supply to consumers, the corporation is set to establish 220 new feeders. The cost of establishing these feeders will be Rs 147.94 crore.
Work has commenced at a fast pace, with the target for completion set for March 31. The addition of the new feeders will also reduce the electricity load and decrease the problem of tripping.
In the district, two circles of the electricity corporation, Gurugram-One and Gurugram-Two, oversee electricity operations. Currently, power is being supplied through 1,180 feeders in both circles.
The electricity corporation has now decided to establish 220 new feeders, with strengthening and expansion work to be carried out on 133 feeders in Circle-One and 87 feeders in Circle-Two. Officials state that the addition of 220 new feeders to the existing network will enable consumers to receive a more stable and uninterrupted power supply.
The feeders will be developed around different regions according to the requirements of the particular division.
Project Details:
-Manesar division - 93 Feeders - Rs 64.89 crore
-Suburban division - 87 Feeders - Rs 41.94 crore
-New Palam Vihar subdivision - 17 Feeders - Rs 23.18 crore
-IDC and Kadipur subdivisions -23 Feeders - Rs 17.93 crore

The corporation's Director (Operations), Vipin Gupta, has instructed officials to complete the construction and improvement work of the 11 kVA feeders within the deadline. He stated that in view of the increasing demand, it is necessary to technically strengthen the power system so that the supply is not disrupted even during the summer season.
After the new feeders become operational, load sharing will improve, with consumers getting relief from voltage problems.
Director (Operations) Vipin Gupta has also given instructions to complete the work as soon as possible. The corporation's goal is to make the power supply completely reliable and consumer-centric in the coming months.
