A man and a woman died after being struck by the Swarna Nagari Express near the GarhiHarsaru railway station on the Gurgaon-Rewari line. The incident occurred on Wednesday night, and the Government Railway Police (GRP) recovered the bodies from the tracks around 8:00 pm.

Sequence Of Events

The driver of the Swarna Nagari Express, which operates between Shakur Basti and Jaisalmer, alerted the control room at approximately 8:00 PM. He reported that as the train was passing Garhi Harsaru station, a man standing near the tracks suddenly moved in front of the train.

Recovery Of Bodies

Acting on the information, a GRP team arrived at the scene to conduct a search. The team first discovered the body of the man on the track. Upon further inspection, the mutilated body of a woman was found approximately 100 meters away from the man's body.

Investigation And Identification

The police found no documents or items on the deceased that could aid in immediate identification.

Description: Both victims are estimated to be between 40 and 45 years of age. A specific identifying mark was noted on the woman, who has the letter 'B' in English marked on her left hand.

Police Theory: The GRP suspects the two may have been a married couple and that the incident was a case of suicide.

The bodies have been sent to the mortuary for a post-mortem examination. The police are currently gathering information from local residents to identify the deceased, and further legal action will be taken once their identities are established.
