Repair work on roads damaged during the monsoon season is progressing rapidly, following a continuous campaign by Dainik Jagran highlighting the issue of broken roads. The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) and the Municipal Corporation have initiated extensive repair work, with GMDA focusing particularly on key stretches.

Potholes along the 5.5-kilometre Multi Utility Corridor, connecting Dwarka Expressway to Manesar, have been fixed, while Ghata Road has also been repaired. With smoother surfaces now in place, commuters are no longer facing frequent traffic snarls or difficulties caused by damaged roads.

According to GMDA Chief Engineer Arun Dhankhar, patchwork and pothole repairs on the Multi Utility Corridor and Ghata Road have been completed, while fresh construction is underway in areas where roads were completely worn out. He added that all repair and construction work is expected to be finished by October 2.

Residents said travel had become extremely difficult in recent months due to potholes, dust, and traffic congestion, which also increased the risk of accidents. However, with the new repairs, the roads have regained a smooth and safe surface, easing travel for commuters.
