The Sikandarpur Crime Branch arrested a taxi driver on Sunday night for smuggling 11 kg of cannabis into Gurugram from Delhi. The accused, identified as Tariq from Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, was apprehended at a checkpoint near the Sector 64 volleyball ground.
Acting on a tip-off, the crime branch team stopped Tariq's vehicle and discovered the drugs. During interrogation, Tariq confessed that he works for a private taxi company and had purchased the cannabis in Delhi for Rs 65,000 with the intention of selling it in smaller quantities for a profit. The vehicle used in the crime has been seized, and a case has been registered under the NDPS Act at the Sector 65 police station.

Man Caught With Over 3 kg Of Cannabis
In a separate operation on Sunday night, the Sector 17 Crime Branch arrested another individual with 3.25 kg of cannabis in BhimgarhKheri. The accused, identified as Lokesh from Alwar, Rajasthan, was caught during a police raid.
Lokesh told police that a female associate had purchased the cannabis in Gurugram for Rs 30,000, and he was tasked with selling it in small quantities. A case has been registered against him at the Sector 5 police station.
