Approximately Rs 20 crore will be spent on road construction and market development works in Sector-46, Gurugram. On Tuesday, Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh held a detailed discussion at the Municipal Corporation Gurugram office on the issues related to the city's major roads, drainage, and sewerage, and the proposed development works. On this occasion, he held an important review meeting with Municipal Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya, Additional Municipal Commissioner Ravindra Yadav, Chief Engineer Vijay Dhaka, HSIIDC's Additional General Manager Arun Garg and other corporation officials.
Breakdown Of Sector-46 Road And Market Proposals
A proposal of Rs 6.87 crore for the construction of an 18-metre-wide road has been prepared and is undergoing the administrative approval process. Additionally, a proposal of Rs 2.49 crore for the recarpeting of 12-metre-wide roads has already been approved. A proposal of Rs 29 lakh for cleaning the stormwater drainage along the 18-metre road in Sector-46 is also undergoing the administrative approval process.
A DPR (Detailed Project Report) for the comprehensive development of the Sector-46 market, at an approximate cost of Rs 10 crore, is being prepared. This DPR includes provisions for strengthening the market's roads, creating a well-organised traffic system, and developing adequate parking facilities.
Gaadoli Road Work To Be Completed In One Year
Regarding Gaadoli Road, officials stated that the road from Pataudi Chowk to Umang Bhardwaj Chowk will be constructed by Municipal Corporation Gurugram, while the section from Umang Bhardwaj Chowk to the Dwarka Expressway will be built by HSIIDC. The project includes the construction of the road, drainage, sewerage, and footpaths. According to officials, the target for completing this project has been set at one year.
Drain Construction In Narsinghpur To Solve Waterlogging
Regarding the Narsinghpur area, it was reported that a drain will be constructed by HSIIDC, while the construction of a culvert is proposed by the NHAI. Additionally, an unlined drain will be paved by the GMDA, and a new sewer line will be laid by the Municipal Corporation up to the Khandsa MPS line. It is hoped that these coordinated efforts will effectively resolve the long-standing problem of waterlogging in the area.
Other Key Infrastructure And Market Decisions
During the meeting, the Industries Minister was also briefed on the sewerage issue in Begumpur Khatola and problems related to Tikli Road and Gaadoli Shamshan Ghat Road. Furthermore, a decision was taken to identify suitable land for vegetable markets at four locations within the municipal corporation area.
