The Additional Municipal Commissioner-3 of Gurugram has issued show-cause notices to four of the corporation's Assistant Sanitary Inspectors (ASIs) for negligence in the sanitation system.
The notices were sent to ASIs Naval, Rohit, Bansi, and Pawan, stating that there has been a serious lapse in the monitoring and reporting of sanitation work. According to the notice, the ASIs were instructed to monitor the sanitation system on the NH-8 service road (from Kherki Daula toll to Rajiv Chowk, via Hero Honda Chowk) and to send regular reports to the office.
However, despite these instructions, no monitoring was carried out, nor was any report submitted.
The Additional Commissioner wrote in the notice that this attitude "demonstrates a dereliction of duty and is an example of serious administrative negligence." The Municipal Corporation has demanded a written explanation from the concerned officials within one day, clarifying why they did not discharge their duties and why the report was not sent on time.
The corporation has warned that if the explanation is not found to be satisfactory, it will be considered indiscipline and a dereliction of duty, and departmental action will be taken in accordance with corporation rules.
