A farmer in Ahmedpur Majra village committed suicide by hanging himself, distressed by an ongoing dispute over debt and land. The deceased's son, Mohit, has accused four individuals of driving his father to suicide.

The police and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team inspected the crime scene. The body was sent to the government hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Mohit stated that about a year ago, his father, Rajesh, had borrowed Rs 16 lakh on interest from Kuldeep of Gangana village and Ashish of Teha village. In exchange, his father had mortgaged one acre of land.

Pressure To Sell Land After Making Him Consume Alcohol

When his father went to repay the money after the agreed period, the lenders kept stalling. They allegedly made him consume alcohol and pressured him to sell the land. Later, he was told that he would only get his money back if he transferred all his land to his daughter's name, and time was repeatedly given for this transfer.

According to Mohit, despite the outstanding debt, the land was sold to Inder and Ishwar, who are from their own village. Rajesh then approached Kuldeep and demanded that he either return the balance amount of Rs 13.75 lakh or return the land.

The accused refused to do so and instead pressured him to vacate the land. Distressed by this, his father went to his farm and committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope in the veranda of a room built there.
