Haryana Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao on Monday announced that work on a 400-bed state-of-the-art hospital in Cyber City will begin soon, with the government preparing to invite tenders for the project. She added that provisions for an additional 200 beds will be incorporated during construction to allow future expansion.
The minister was speaking at a ceremony after inaugurating a solar power plant at the Rotary Blood Bank Centre. She said the government is also set to strengthen healthcare services by establishing 30 Urban Aarogya Kendras in the district.
During her visit, Aarti Singh Rao inspected the blood bank’s facilities, interacted with children suffering from thalassaemia, and announced a Rs 11 lakh grant for the Rotary Club. Praising the organisation’s free services for thalassaemia patients and its affordable blood bank facilities, she assured full support from the Health Department.
MLA Mukesh Sharma, who has donated blood 42 times, said he will continue contributing to society and commended the collaboration between the Health Department and organisations like Rotary in promoting humanitarian efforts.
Later in the day, the Health Minister inaugurated an ultrasound machine at Sohna Civil Hospital and a digital X-ray machine at Farrukhnagar Civil Hospital. Both machines were donated by Omprakash Kathuria, president of the Punjabi Biradari Mahasangathan and director of Om Sweets, to support free medical services for economically weaker patients. The equipment has already been installed and made operational.

Several officials and community leaders attended the event, including CAO Dr Alka Singh, PMO Dr Lokveer Singh, SMO Dr Anuj Garg, Rotary Blood Centre President Dr Mukesh Sharma, Advocate Ravindra Jain, Manish Khullar, KS Yadav, former Women’s Commission Vice Chairperson Suman Dahiya, BJP leader Subhash Singla, Punjabi Biradari Mahasangathan Chairman Bodhraj Sikri, President Omprakash Kathuria, Surendra Khullar, Councillor Mahavir Yadav, Rajnish Raghav, Jyoti Verma, Rao Bhopal Singh, Rachna Bajaj, Gajendra Gosai, Ramesh Kamra, Anil Kumar, Yudhishthir, and Kishan Buddhiraja.
