Broken bones, burnt and separated skull, this is what mentions the autopsy report of a Manipur woman who was killed in by suspected militants in the volatile Jiribam district of Manipur, reported NDTV.
The 31-year-old woman who had a painful death, had her body burnt 99 per cent. Reportedly, her husband, in the complaint filed by police, alleged that she was raped before the accused set their house on fire on November 8.
The autopsy report of the deceased, who was a teacher and mother of three children, said that as her body was completely charred, it was not possible to take the samples to check rape.
"... The right upper limb and parts of both lower limbs and the facial structure [were] found missing. A penetrating wound of size 1 cm x 0.75 cm [is] seen over the back of the right thigh... coming out through an opening measuring 2 cm x 1 cm in the right upper thigh..." reported NDTV quoting the autopsy report.

The report stated that a 5 cm-long metal nail was found lodged in the left thigh.
"Burnt and separated fragments of bone did not show any signs of vital reaction indicating the post-mortem nature of separation," said the autopsy report.
"Death was due to shock as a result of third-degree mixed flame antemortem burns as described which covered 99 per cent of total body surface area. Time since death was 24 to 36 hours," it added.
In the First Information Report (FIR) filed by the woman's husband with the police in Jiribam,he claimed that she was shot in the leg when the attack began in their village, Zairawn, on Thursday night. Their house was destroyed in the fire, causing it to collapse completely.
Earlier on Monday, at least ten militants were killed in Manipur's Jiribam in an encounter with the Central Reserve Police Force and Civil Police on Monday, Manipur Police said.
