Aadhaar Phone Number Change: The Unique Identification Authority of India’s (UIDAI) official app now lets people update their mobile number on Aadhaar card without going to an enrolment centre.

The new update to the Aadhaar app is set to revolutionise the way users manage their Aadhaar details. Previously, updating a registered mobile number meant a visit to the Aadhaar centre and standing in long queues. However, with the new app feature, all that is required is a few easy steps on your smartphone.

Officials said the project is being developed by the Department of Information Technology in line with the guidelines issued by the UIDAI.
