The fallout between US President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Oval Office in the White House has been a hot topic since it happened on Friday. From stern reactions from world leaders to front page news articles, the verbal spat between the two leaders has grabbed everyone's attention. The topic also reached India, with Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh issuing a warning to PM Modi.
Sanjay Singh on Saturday asked PM Modi to not become a "stooge" of Donald Trump and "strongly" raise the issue of deportation of Indians from the US in handcuffs and chains. Posting a clip from the meeting between Zelenskyy and Trump, Sanjay Singh said that it was evident that Trump has resorted to bullying.
The Rajya Sabha MP used a famous quote of former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger- 'To be an enemy of the US is dangerous, but to be a friend is fatal'- as a caption to the clip. "This conversation has proven that Trump is resorting to bullying, so instead of being Trump's stooge, PM Modi should strongly raise the issue of bringing Indians back to India in shackles like criminals," Singh posted on X.
Earlier this month, the issue of illegal Indian immigrants in the US had stormed the Parliament as they were reportedly deported in handcuffs with their legs chained. Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigrants in the US has led to the deportation of over 300 Indians so far this year. The Indian citizens living in the US illegally were deported in three US fights.
Singh also posted a video of a heated conversation between Zelenskyy and US Vice President JD Vance, where Vance is seen criticising Zelenskyy for not being grateful enough to the US. Zelenskyy, who went to the white House to discuss the controversial mineral deal and get US backing over the war situation between Ukraine and Russia, was criticised by Trump over his approach to the war.

In the Oval Office exchange, President Trump told President Zelenskyy he holds "no cards" in the negotiations and that he should be more thankful. Vance told Zelensky he should be more respectful of President Trump and all that he is trying to do for his country. Later, Zelenskyy was asked to leave the White House
