In a shocking incident, a gym trainer in Agra allegedly posed as a RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) agent and sexually exploited a Canadian woman of Indian origin. The Agra Police have registered an FIR against the gym trainer and his accomplice for charges of “rape” and “criminal intimidation,” according to The Times of India.

The accused, identified as Sahil Sharma, reportedly met the woman on the social media platform Tinder before arranging to meet her at a hotel in Agra in March 2024.

“On the basis of complaint received, an FIR has been registered against the gym trainer and his friend for sexual assault of an NRI. The complainant has been produced before the magistrate to record her statement. Efforts are on to arrest the accused men who are absconding,” said Agra DCP (City) Suraj Rai on Monday.

The police confirmed that the FIR was registered under the following sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita:

- Section 64 (rape)
- Section 123 (causing hurt by means of poison)
- Section 351(2) (criminal intimidation)
- Section 74 (assault or use of criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty)
- Section 67 of the IT Act

According to Neeraj Sharma, in-charge of Sikandra police station, Sahil Sharma befriended the woman on Tinder before meeting her at a hotel in Agra in March 2024. During this meeting, Sahil allegedly spiked her drink with intoxicants and sexually assaulted her while she was unconscious.

When the woman regained consciousness, she claimed Sahil introduced himself as a RAW agent, threatened her, and mentioned marriage.

After returning to Canada, the accused reportedly kept in contact with her, frequently reiterating that he “worked for RAW.” In August 2024, Sahil allegedly invited her back to India, stating that he wanted her to meet his mother. Upon her return, the woman accused Sahil of sexually assaulting her multiple times in Agra and Delhi. She also alleged that Sahil later introduced her to his friend, Arif Ali, who sexually assaulted her in a hotel bathroom.

The woman further stated that she discovered she was pregnant and tried contacting Sahil, who then allegedly threatened to share her private photos on social media.

Additionally, the woman claimed she was forced into deleting WhatsApp chats and call logs with Sahil under the pretext of safeguarding his "RAW identity." She also accused Arif of blackmailing her with explicit photos, which he claimed to have received from Sahil.

The police are investigating the matter further.
