School Winter Vacation List: As the winter season sets in, students eagerly await their winter vacations in December. Many states across India have announced school holidays for the month, with most schools closing towards the end of the month to mark the winter break for the 2024-2025 academic session. Winter vacations usually begin from mid to late December, depending on the region and weather conditions. Students and parents are advised to check with their respective schools for the exact dates and timings. Here, candidates can check the state-wise winter vacation dates.
Delhi Winter Vacation 2024
Schools in Delhi will be closed from January 1 to January 15, 2025. Moreover, schools will be closed on Christmas Day (December 25). These dates are subject to change in case of severe weather conditions.
Uttar Pradesh School Winter Holidays 2024
In Uttar Pradesh, schools are expected to have a holiday starting from December 25, 2024, to January 5, 2025. However, the authorities have not yet confirmed these dates.
Punjab School Winter Vacation 2024
The Punjab Education Department has announced that schools will begin their winter break on December 24 and continue until December 31, 2024. Depending on the weather, the vacation duration may be extended.
Jammu and Kashmir Winter Vacation
In Jammu and Kashmir, schools up to Class 5 will remain closed until February 2025. For students in Classes 6-12, the winter break started on December 16, 2024, and will end on February 28, 2025.
Rajasthan School Winter Vacation 2024
The winter break for the 2024-25 session in Rajasthan is expected to begin from December 25, 2024, to January 5, 2025. However, these dates may change based on the School Education Department's announcements.

Bihar Winter Vacation 2024
According to media reports, in Bihar, the winter break is expected to be from December 25 to December 31, 2024.
Haryana School Winter Vacation 2024
The Haryana state government has not yet announced the dates for the 2024 winter break. However, given the expected cold wave in the state, the government is likely to release the winter vacation dates soon. Last year, the break was from January 1 to January 15.
