Ahmedabad Bomb Threat: Bomb Squad and Forensic Department are carrying out an investigation after multiple schools in Gujarat's western Ahmedabad received a bomb threats via email on Friday morning, ANI reported, quoting Ahmedabad Crime Branch.
This comes days after several private schools in Haryana's Ambala received bomb threats, prompting the Haryana Police to conduct extensive security checks on the campuses on January 19. The email, sent at around 8:22 am, created an atmosphere of fear among school administration, students, and parents.
Earlier this month, several district courts across India received bomb threats via email, triggering widespread panic and heightened security measures. Courts in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh were among those targeted, prompting evacuations and emergency responses as authorities worked to assess any threat. For security reasons, all court premises were immediately evacuated. Judges, lawyers, staff, and civilians present in the courts were safely evacuated.
A threatening email was sent to the Bilaspur and Rajnandgaon District Courts in Chhattisgarh, and to the Rewa District Court in Madhya Pradesh. Upon receiving the information, police and bomb squads from the respective districts arrived at the scene and began a thorough search of the entire premises.
Bomb threats were also received by district courts in Patna, Gayaji, and Kishanganj in Bihar. An email sent by an unknown person in Patna claimed that RDX explosives had been planted in the court premises, prompting a massive security increase.
The Himachal Pradesh High Court also received a bomb threat. The threat was sent to the High Court's official email address. Police and administration immediately swung into action. A bomb disposal squad arrived at the scene. Every part of the High Court was thoroughly inspected.
