Ahmedabad Traffic Advisory: As excitement builds for the Indian Premier League (IPL) Qualifier 2 match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Mumbai Indians (MI), cricket fans heading to the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday evening should be prepared for traffic restrictions and diversions around the venue.
The match is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM and is expected to draw massive crowds. Although no official traffic advisory had been released by Sunday morning, past arrangements indicate that traffic control measures are likely to be enforced to manage the expected rush and ensure public safety.
Ahmedabad Traffic Advisory: MI vs PBKS IPL Match Traffic Congestion
-Vehicular entry will be restricted on the route between Janpath T and Avadh Rotary during match hours.
-Only vehicles with authorised passes will be allowed into the stadium's restricted zones.
-Heavy vehicles will not be permitted near the stadium from the Janpath side.
-Motorists are advised to avoid the Motera area during the match hours to prevent inconvenience.
Ahmedabad Traffic Advisory: MI vs PBKS IPL Match Alternate Routes for Commuters:
To manage congestion and redirect traffic away from busy areas, the following alternate roads may be used:
-Vehicles moving from Janpath to S.P. Ring Road should take the Tapovan Circle–Sargasan Circle route.
-Those travelling from Sargasan Circle to Tapovan will be diverted via S.P. Ring Road and Janpath.
Security Measures And Enforcement:
A strong police presence will be deployed across all key points around the stadium. Traffic police officers will be stationed at major intersections and entry points to guide vehicles and ensure smooth movement.
Law enforcement will be carried out under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023, the Gujarat Police Act and other relevant legal codes. Authorities have stated that violators may face legal action for not following the instructions.
