India will host the AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi on Monday. Several leaders from around the globe will be attending the international conclave. The five-day event will focus on India's emerging influence on shaping policies on artificial intelligence and innovation.

The international summit is considered to be one of the largest AI conclaves in the Global South. The summit is expected to be star-studded with significant personalities such as French President Emmanuel Macron, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, and many others.

Who Are Attending the Global AI Summit?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reportedly invited several leaders to attend the global conclave. According to reports, the attendees include: France President Emmanuel Macron, Brazil President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay Sri Lanka President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Serbia President Aleksandar Vucic Switzerland President Guy Parmelin, Netherlands Prime Minister Dick Schoof.

Leaders of countries such as Bolivia, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Guyana, Kazakhstan, Liechtenstein, Mauritius, Slovakia, Spain, Seychelles, and the United Arab Emirates are also going to attend the New Delhi summit. Nearly 45 nations and officials from the United Nations will attend the event as well.

The conclave will also feature personalities from the global technology scene, such as Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, and Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI. Demis Hassabis, CEO of DeepMind Technologies; Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic' and Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries.

AI Impact Summit To Focus On Balancing Innovation With Responsibility

Nearly 500 sessions are scheduled for five days, highlighting AI safety, governance, ethical use, data protection, and India’s approach to sovereign AI. India will also keep its stance on sovereign AI development. The officials plan to highlight investments in computing infrastructure, skill development, and domestic AI innovation under government-backed initiatives.
