Air India, which is owned by the Tata Group, has cancelled its scheduled flight from Delhi to Narita, Japan, on Friday, August 16. The airline has informed passengers that those who have confirmed tickets on the Delhi-Narita route for August 16 will receive a one-time rescheduling waiver and full refunds for cancellations.

The airline cancelled the flight owing to an "inclement weather warning in Tokyo," according to a post on X. “Air India regrets to inform the cancellation of its flights AI306 and AI307 on the Delhi-Narita-Delhi sector on 16 August 2024 due to inclement weather warning at Tokyo,” the airline had said.

Previously, on August 14, an Air India aircraft from Mumbai to London returned to the coastal city with 354 people on board when the captain reported a cabin pressurisation issue.

The Boeing 777, which took off from Mumbai at 8:36 AM, returned safely to the city, landing about 11:30 AM.
