Air India announced a revised check-in deadline on Saturday for international flights departing from Delhi. Check-in for all international departures from the city will now close 75 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

In a statement shared on the social media platform X, Air India wrote, "For international departures from Delhi, the check-in counter will now close 75 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time."

"This adjustment from the previous 60-minute closure ensures a seamless and comfortable travel experience for all, allowing ample time for check-in procedures and security clearance even during busy periods," Air India wrote.

Air India Requests Timely Arrival For New Check-In Rules

Air India has also encouraged passengers to comply with the new check-in closure time and to arrive at the airport early to avoid any inconvenience. The airline added, "We appreciate your cooperation in arriving at the airport well ahead of this new closure time."

This adjustment marks a substantial change aimed at enhancing the boarding process and minimising delays. Passengers are encouraged to adjust their arrival times to align with the new policy for a hassle-free travel experience.

The earlier check-in counter closure will give Air India additional time to handle essential pre-flight tasks, improving coordination between ground staff and flight crews.

Earlier, on August 23, Air India announced, "Starting September 10, 2024, check-in counters for international flights from Delhi Airport will close 75 minutes before departure. We request passengers to arrive at check-in counters on time."

Recent reports indicate that Air India will soon launch in-flight Wi-Fi services, starting with the A350 aircraft on the Delhi-London Heathrow route. This initiative represents a major improvement in passenger experience, offering enhanced connectivity during international flights.
