Airbus A320 Recall: The operation of several global and domestic flight services was disrupted on Saturday after Airbus issued a directive for a software fix across its A320 fleet. IndiGo issued an advisory for the passengers, warning them of possible delays in the operation. Apart from this, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), in its statement, stated that the directive from Airbus affected the flight operations. The authority further stated that more than 50 per cent of the identified planes have already undergone the software updates.
"Based on the Airbus AOT and EASA Emergency AD, DGCA has issued a Mandatory Modification on November 29 prescribing the mandatory actions required for the continued safe operation of the aircraft," the DGCA stated. The regulator has also directed the airlines to halt services of the Airbus A320 family until they complete the changes required under the directives.
"Inspection and/or Modification on the following subject is mandatory. Please make necessary amendment in below mentioned Mandatory Modification List. This is to be ensured that no person shall operate the product which falls under the applicability of this Mandatory Modification except those which are in accordance with the compliance to requirement of Mandatory Modification (s)/ applicable Airworthiness Directive(s)," the DGCA stated.

However, Air India asserted that no flights were cancelled due to the changes, adding that it had no major impact on the schedule. "Air India can confirm that there have been no cancellations due to this task and there isn't any major impact on schedule integrity across our network. However, some of our flights may be slightly delayed or rescheduled. Our colleagues on ground are there to assist the passengers," the airline stated in its post on X (formerly Twitter).
