Amarnath Yatra 2025: The second batch of devotees departed for Pahalgam and Baltal from Jammu’s base camp, Yatri Niwas Bhagwati Nagar, on Thursday. As many as 5,246 pilgrims were included in the second batch of the annual Amarnath Yatra. According to the Yatra Control Room, 1,999 devotees, including 1,533 men, 102 women, 15 children and 1 transgender, left for Baltal on Thursday morning. Additionally, 3,247 devotees, including 1757 men, 975 women, 250 children,15 transgenders and 250 sadhus left for Pahalgam amid heighetend security.

The 38-day Amarnath Yatra 2025 officially began on Thursday with special arrangements made by the authorities for the safety of devotees. In view of the Pahalgam Terror attack that took place on April 22, the Pahalgam and Baltal axes were declared as no-fly zones. Pilgrims were taken in special vehicles with security.

Amarnath Yatra 2025: Special Arrangements For Devotees

The authorities have made special arrangements for the devotees. They left for the Yatra in 268 vehicles, out of which 106 were buses, 124 were light motor vehicles, and 38 were two-wheelers. 137 vehicles left for the Baltal route and 131 left for the Pahalgam route on Thursday morning. Eight escort vehicles and one ambulance were also included in the Yatra security convoy.

Ensuring the convenience of devotees, the langar organisers made excellent arrangements for the. They served food to the devotees on time to ensure everyone leaves for Yatra after breakfast.

Hundreds of Jammu and Kashmir government officials from various departments, like health, water supply and electricity, are involved to ensure a smooth Yatra for devotees.
