Chennai News: A 19-year-old food delivery boy in Chennai has reportedly taken his own life, with the incident believed to be connected to a confrontation with a customer. The young man, who was also a BCom student, worked part-time for a delivery service.

The incident occurred on September 11, when the boy faced difficulties locating an address in Korattur, resulting in a delayed grocery delivery. Upset by the late arrival, the woman allegedly argued with him and later complained to the delivery company, requesting that he not be assigned to her again.

Two days later, the boy retaliated by throwing a stone at the woman's house, breaking a window. The woman reported the incident to the police and the boy was subsequently warned in the presence of his parents.

However, five days after the warning, the boy reportedly took his own life. Authorities have opened an investigation into the case.

In separate incident, Anna Sebastian Perayil, a 26-year-old Chartered Accountant from Kerala, died on July 21, allegedly due to excessive work stress at Ernst & Young (EY) in Pune. Anna, who joined the firm four months earlier, had cleared her CA exams in 2023.
