A 53-year-old man has been arrested for disrupting a meeting of Union Home Minister Amit Shah at a hotel in Mumbai. An official identified the accused as Shakti Prakash Bhargava, a resident of Kanpur.

The accused used a fake media identity card to enter the high-security event at a hotel in the Bandra Kurla Complex on Sunday. However, this is not the first case against Bhargava, as he has a history of involvement in controversies.

According to a police official, Bhargava disrupted the meeting by creating unrest over the Lal Imli Mill scam. He threw some papers to draw the Home Minister's attention. Security personnel promptly managed the situation, escorting him out of the meeting and handing him over to the local police.

The police registered an FIR against him under various sections, including charges of fraud and forgery. Initial investigations suggest that he was frustrated over not receiving a response to his complaints related to the Lal Imli Mill scam in Kanpur.

He has been actively pursuing this issue but has yet to receive any satisfactory response. The police are thoroughly investigating the matter.

According to Jagran.com, Bhargava has been involved in several other controversies. In April 2019, he was arrested for throwing a shoe at BJP spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao during a press conference in Delhi, again over corruption in the British India Corporation (BIC), which controls Lal Imli.

Bhargava allegedly purchased several BIC assets worth millions at throwaway prices. However, when a CBI investigation was launched, the process was halted. Bhargava believes he has been trapped by the corruption within BIC.
