Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the 'Fast Track Immigration Trusted Traveller Programme' (FTI-TTP) at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in New Delhi on Saturday. This program is designed to revolutionise the travel experience, making it faster, easier, and more secure.
What Is FTI-TTP And How Does It Work
The FTI-TTP is a visionary initiative by the Central government aimed at Indian nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders. It aims to enhance travel convenience and efficiency. Eligible individuals will need to apply online and submit their biometrics (fingerprint and facial image) along with other required information as specified in the application form. Registration will be completed after necessary verifications and confirmation of eligibility, with applicable processing charges paid upon submission.
FTI Registration
Applications are submitted only after the non-refundable processing fee has been successfully paid. Applicants will be registered after their identity has been authenticated through mobile OTP and email verification. Providing incorrect or false information, or concealing any material facts, will lead to rejection of the application. Those applicants will not be registered for FTI-TTP whose biometrics, for any technical reason, cannot be captured.

FTI registration is valid for a maximum of five years or until the validity of the passport, whichever comes first. Approved applicants will receive a message to schedule an appointment to provide their biometric details, which can be done at a designated international airport in India or the nearest FRRO office. Biometrics are compulsory for completing the application process, and applicants must ensure their passport is valid for at least six months when applying for FTI-TTP. Membership in the program will be co-terminus with the passport validity. Applicant needs to provide current residential address to avoid the rejection of the application.
FTI Fees Structure
The non-refundable FTI-TTP processing fees are as follows: Rs 2000 for Indian Nationals, Rs 1000 for Indian Nationals (Minor), and $100 for OCI cardholders. Applicants must upload a passport-sized photograph in JPEG format (size ranging from 10 KB to 1 MB) and the first and last pages of their passport (size not exceeding 1 MB). Additionally, two scanned copies of documents, such as the OCI card for Indians settled overseas in PDF format (size ranging from 10 KB to 1 MB), and proof of address in PDF format (size ranging from 10 KB to 1 MB), are also required.
