Amritsar-Kullu Direct Flights To Operate From October 1; Flights From Amritsar to Shimla Begin From November 1

Amritsar-Kullu flights: Amritsar in Punjab will be connected to Kullu in Himachal Pradesh from October 1 through flights, which will operate on three days: Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. Amritsar will also have air connectivity to Shimla from November 1 with a flight operating thrice a week.

The air connectivity between Amritsar's Sri Guru Ram Das Ji international airport will benefit Himachal Pradesh by enhancing travel and business in the state.These flights, along with tourists and business travellers, will benefit Himachal Pradesh's natives who are overseas as it will be easier for them to commute to their homeland, the Times of India reported.

Amritsar-Kullu Flight Timings, Cost

Alliance Air had started booking tickets for the Kullu-Amritsar-Kullu route. The flight from Kullu to Amritsar will depart from Kullu at 8:25 am and reach Amritsar at 09:30 am. The flight from Amritsar to Kullu will depart at 10:00 am and reach Amritsar at 11:05 am. The ticket for Kullu to Amritsar sector is Rs 2637 while Rs 3,284 will be charged for Amritsar to Kullu sector. Half of the seats, however, will be subsidized.

The enhanced air connectivity will increase people's access to the state's natural beauty and cultural diversity, and will prosper the state's economy, the Times of India cited, Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the chief minister of Himachal Pradesh as saying.

He also emphasised the significance of the tourist sector in improving job possibilities and revenue generation in the state. The government's action of improving  heliports will  spur tourism and economic growth in the area, he added.
