Andhra Pradesh Bus Accident: At least 9 people were killed, and several others were injured after a private bus fell off the ghat road between Chinturu and Bhadrachalam on Friday morning, leading to a major road accident. The ASR District Collector Dinesh Kumar confirmed the deaths. 

Those who have sustained injuries have been rushed to Bhadrachalam hospital for treatment, where the condition of many is reported to be critical. As per a report by a news agency, PTI, at least 22 people have been injured after a bus fell off the ghat. 

With local authorities and emergency teams working to retrieve the victims and clear the site, a rescue operation is underway. Further details on the cause of the accident and the exact number of passengers on board are awaited.

The hilly ghat section is known for sharp curves and has seen similar accidents in the past.

CM Naidu Assures Support, Directs Speedy Assistance To Injured

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu, has expressed his sorrow over the unfortunate incident and assured support to the affected people as he directed officials to take all necessary measures to ensure immediate medical assistance to the injured. 

Writing a post on X, Naidu said, "The accident involving a private bus carrying passengers near Chittoor district in Alluri Sitarama Raju has deeply shaken us. It is heartbreaking that several lives were lost in this accident. I have spoken with the officials regarding the accident and gathered details about the assistance being provided to the affected individuals. I have instructed the officials to take all necessary measures to ensure that the injured receive better medical aid. The government will stand by the families of those who lost their lives in the accident."

President Murmu Expresses Pain Over Loss Of Lives

The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, expressed her pain over the loss of precious lives in the Andhra Pradesh bus accident. Writing a post on X, the President extended heartfelt condolences to bereaved families.
