In a shocking and horrific development from Arrah in Bihar, a father poisoned his four children, killing three. The father, identified as Arvind Kumar, mixed poison in the milk of his four children before consuming it himself, leaving three of the children dead and two critically ill. Those killed include two daughters and a son.
The incident occurred on Tuesday night when the father served his children with a glass of milk each after dinner. Three of the four children succumbed to poisonous milk, while a son and the father are undergoing emergency treatment.
Adarsh, a surviving child, recounted the events that unfolded on Tuesday night. Speaking from the hospital bed, Adarsh revealed that his mother’s death 8 months ago left his father emotionally shattered. He continued to run a small electronic shop in Benwalia market to provide for the family. Adarsh recalled that his father prepared their favourite dinner, puri, before serving them each a glass of milk, reportedly containing poison, which he also drank.

Adarsh revealed that they received help after a while when his siblings began to experience severe vomiting and stomach pain.
According to a neighbour, Gupteshwar Prasad, they went to attend a Barat nearby when he received a call from Arvind’s nephew, revealing that the family was ill and was being taken to the hospital.
Dr Shiv Narayan Singh, the on-duty doctor, provided a grim update on the condition of the poisoned children. He said that the team was still trying to determine the type of poison consumed. Describing the victims’ symptoms, the doctor said that all of them had swollen pupils, body pain, vomiting, and stomach pain. Further, foam was visible coming out of their mouths and noses. The emergency treatment was taking place under the supervision of the team.
