Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh have been denied permission to meet Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar Jail today, Jagran.com reported. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said the jail authority cited security concerns, owing to which the permission was denied. This came days after Mann wrote to the Tihar Jail authorities seeking their permission to meet the Delhi Chief Minister. The officials will now inform the AAP leaders about a new date.
Bhagwant Mann’s Name Added To List Of Visitors:
Arvind Kejriwal furnished a list of six names to the jail authority, who he wishes to meet in jail. The list includes his wife Sunita Kejriwal, his son Pulkit, his daughter Harshita, and his friends Sandeep Pathak and Vibhav. As per reports, Bhagwant Mann’s name has also been added to the list. As per the rule book, the jailed person could give 10 names for the meeting to the authority.
Delhi High Court Junks Arvind Kejriwal Plea Against Arrest:
The Delhi High Court on Tuesday dismissed Arvind Kejriwal’s petition against his arrest asserting that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was in ‘possession of enough material’ which led to his arrest. A single-judge bench of Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma noted that the evidence collected by the federal probe agency reveals Kejriwal had conspired with several other people and was actively involved in framing the Delhi excise policy 2021-22.

The court also said Delhi CM was involved in the money laundering in his personal capacity as well as in his capacity as the AAP supremo for using the proceeds of crime in the Goa election campaign.
Kejriwal Arrest:
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21 in a money laundering case linked with the Delhi Excise policy. This came hours after the Delhi High Court turned down his interim protection plea. Kejriwal was sent to ED custody until March 28, which was extended until April 1.
He was sent to judicial custody for 15 days by the court after ED said they didn’t want to further question him, adding that he was "uncooperative" and gave evasive answers.
