Delhi Excise Policy Case: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday filed before the Delhi High Court its reply on the plea moved by Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal against his arrest in connection with the alleged Delhi excise policy scam.
Opposing the plea, the central agency said that Kejriwal was given multiple opportunities to cooperate with the investigation with nine summonses. However, he chose to intentionally disobey the said summons and did not join the investigation based on one flimsy ground and another, ED added.
The ED reply came on a day when the Supreme Court granted bail to AAP leader Sanjay Singh, who was arrested by the agency in October last year as part of the same money laundering probe. Seperately, AAP leader and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia also put forth his arguments in a Delhi court in support of his regular bail plea.
