Ayodhya Cabinet Meeting: Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath chaired a historic cabinet meeting in Ayodhya in a first as the holy city geared up for the upcoming Diwali festivities. While hailing the gathering of state executives in Ayodhya, CM said on that a new chapter has been added to the history of Uttar Pradesh. He also apprised the media of the decisions taken after the meeting.
Key decisions taken in cabinet meeting-
- The UP government will implement a new drone policy in the state to prevent the misuse of drones.
- A proposal to establish an Inland Waterways Authority in Uttar Pradesh has also been taken in the meeting.
- The winter session of the UP Assembly will begin from November 28 and the duration of the session is likely to be a week.
- 3 new Teerth Vikas Parishad for Ayodhya Dham, Devipatan Dham in Balrampur & Shuk Teerth in Muzaffarnagar.
- 3 local festivals to be recognised as State Festival ~ Lakhi Mela in Hathras, Kartik Purnima in Anup Shahar & Dev Deepawali in Kashi.
- Temple Museum to showcase Bharat’s temple architecture over thousands of years on 25 acre at Ayodhya.
- Sohagi Barwa Wildlife Sanctuary in Maharajganj to be developed as Ecotourism hub.
Ahead of the meeting, CM Yogi Adityanath along with his cabinet colleagues arrived at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir construction site in Ayodhya, where he took stock of the progress of the temple construction.
The UP Police heightened security and deployed the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) in the temple town as the cabinet meeting was scheduled in Ayodhya. This decision coincided with the anniversaries of two significant events. On November 9, 1989, the first foundation stone of the temple was laid, and on November 9, 2019, the Supreme Court cleared the path for the temple's construction.
Beyond the religious aspects, the cabinet meeting focused on development initiatives and preparations for the upcoming Deepotsav celebrations in Ayodhya. Additionally, the meeting anticipated the highly anticipated consecration of the idol of Lord Ram in the temple, set to occur on January 22, 2024, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several seers participating in the ceremonies.
