The much-anticipated Pran Pratishtha ceremony for Lord Ram Lalla's idol in the newly constructed Ram Janmabhoomi Temple is set to take place tomorrow, January 22. The town of Ayodhya is abuzz with preparations for the event, which is expected to attract devotees from far and wide.
Scheduled to commence at 12:20 pm in the auspicious nakshatra, the consecration ceremony is predicted to conclude by 1 Pm, according to Champat Rai, general secretary of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Varanasi priest Lakshmi Kant Dixit will oversee the main rituals during the ceremony.
The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, along with the Vishva Hindu Parishad, has extended invitations to nearly 8,000 guests, including politicians, business leaders, and entertainment industry figures. The ceremony will witness the presence of PM Modi, business tycoon Mukesh Ambani, cricket star Sachin Tendulkar, Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan and others.
Given the large gathering, the temple trust has urged the devotees to participate virtually. The live broadcast of the event will be accessible on various platforms across the country, starting at 11 am on Monday.

For those unable to attend in person, the entire ceremony will be relayed in temples, public places in villages, and urban areas throughout the country. India's national broadcaster, Doordarshan, has installed approximately 40 cameras at strategic locations in Ayodhya, ensuring a comprehensive 4K display of the ceremony.
In addition to the main temple complex, live visuals will be broadcast from significant locations, including Ram ki Paidi near Saryu Ghat and the Jatayu statue at Kuber Tila.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting secretary, Apurva Chandra, said that the live coverage will be available in different languages and on various channels, with private channels receiving feeds via Doordarshan.
Indian Railways has also joined the initiative, installing over 9,000 screens at railway stations across the country to telecast the pran pratishtha ceremony.
As Ayodhya gears up for the historic event, numerous rituals and events, including the 'Mangal Dhwani' musical extravaganza, have been planned. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the inauguration and personally perform rituals in the sanctum sanctorum at around 12:30 pm.
