Ayushman Bharat Vay Vandana Yojana: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday inaugurated the Ayushman Vay Vandana Yojana to support the health requirements of the senior citizens of the national capital. The chief minister stated that the scheme will provide world-class healthcare and financial security, adding that the state government is determined to look after the elders of the state. She emphasised that the scheme will offer coverage, pension, and medical facilities throughout the national capital.
"Every person who is above 70 years of age will get the benefit of this scheme. Only two things are required: first, you should be a resident of Delhi, and second, you should have an Aadhar card. Registration starts today, and once your card is made, you will be able to get treatment in hospitals registered under this scheme, both in Delhi and across the country. Congratulations to all of you for this scheme," CM Gupta stated.
What Are the Benefits Of The Ayushman Bharat Health Card?
The government stated that the senior citizens will get treatments worth Rs 10 lakh annually under this scheme. It further stated that the scheme is applicable for all the senior citizens of the city, irrespective of their income, adding that both private and government hospitals are accessible under this scheme. The advisory further assured that no payment is needed at the time of receiving medical care.
Several Delhi ministers , including Kapil Mishra and Pankaj Kumar Singh praised the move by the goverment. “I am deeply grateful that this is happening through my efforts. The Prime Minister’s vision is now being realised on the ground,” Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh stated.
“These schemes could have been implemented in Delhi earlier, but the previous government halted all the central health schemes. Today, every guarantee is being fulfilled. This was Prime Minister Modi's guarantee, and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has fulfilled this guarantee," Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra added.
