Ayushman Vay Vandana Card: Prime Minister Narendra Modi in October launched the expansion of Health Coverage under AB-PMJAY for citizens of and above 70 years, for Rs 3437 crores on the occasion of Dhanvantri Jayanti. The government, under the Ayushman Vay Vandana Card, provides eligible seniors exclusive access to free health treatment in the hospital irrespective of their income.

Ayushman Vay Vandana Card provides Rs 5 lakh free health cover to all senior citizens aged 70 years and above. The senior citizens aged 70 years and above belonging to families already covered get an additional top-up cover of up to Rs 5 lakh per year. Let's take a look at how can you apply for the Ayushman Vay Vandana Card:

Step 1: At first, you need to download the Ayushman App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Step 2: Open the app, and click on the "Login as Beneficiary" option.

Step 3: Enter the details including your mobile number, choose the mode of authentication, enter the captcha twice to confirm, and click on the "Login" option.

Step 4: Enter the required details like your Aadhaar card details. You might also need to do your eKYC in case it's not done.

Step 5: Upload your photo, give a declaration, and enter all the additional details.

Step 6: Download the Ayushman Vay Vandana Card from the app after you complete the KYC.

In order to avail of benefits through the Ayushman Vay Vandana Card, a senior citizen should be of 70-year-old and must be a permanent resident of India.
