In a significant move in the murder case of NCP leader Baba Siddique, the Mumbai Police have declared gangster Anmol Bishnoi a 'wanted' accused. The Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) has been imposed on him. Additionally, MCOCA has also been applied to the 26 arrested accused in the case.

The Crime Branch has so far arrested 26 accused, including the main shooter Shiv Kumar Gautam. Baba Siddique was shot dead on October 12 in Bandra East, Mumbai. He was hit with two bullets in his chest. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai for treatment but could not be saved.

Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, is currently lodged in US jail. The main conspirators, Shubham Lonkar and Zeeshan Mohammad Akhtar, are still at large.

The State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) has arrested an associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang from Mohali’s Phase-6. The accused has been identified as Gurdeep Singh, also known as Deep, a resident of Jatewal village in Ropar district. According to SSOC officials, Gurdeep Singh had been incarcerated with Lawrence in Patiala Jail, where they planned criminal activities in the Tricity area.

The police seized two illegal firearms from the accused, one .30 bore pistol and one .32 bore pistol, along with eight cartridges. Gurdeep Singh has previously been jailed for serious crimes like murder and attempted murder and had recently been released on bail.

Investigating agencies believe that while in jail, Gurdeep Singh had been actively working for Lawrence's gang. After his release, he continued to plan criminal activities. It is suspected that Gurdeep Singh was planning targeted killings in the Tricity area.
