After a week of the assassination of Maharashtra leader and former Minister Baba Siddique, his MLA son Zeeshan Siddique shared a cryptic post on social media X (formerly Twitter). Zeeshan has remained away from media and any direct message in public. However, he has been sharing his thoughts on the social media platforms for his well-wishers.

"Not all that is hidden sleep, Nor all that is visible speaks," he wrote in a recent post on Friday, igniting a plethora of reactions from his supporters.

This comes as he met Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also serves as the Home Minister in the Eknath Shinde-led Mahayuti government, and was informed about the progress of the investigation into the murder of his father Baba Siddique.

In another post on Thursday, he demanded justice for his family and said that the death of his father must not be politicised and should not go in vain.

"My father lost his life protecting and saving the lives and homes of poor innocent people. Today, my family is broken but his death must not be politicised and definitely not go in vain.
I need justice, my family needs justice!" he wrote on X.

Baba Siddique was killed near Zeeshan's office in Bandra's Nirmal Nagar on October 12 by three gunmen, allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The NCP leader sustained three bullet injuries and died in the hospital. Out of the three, two attackers were nabbed from the spot and handed over to the police, while the third remained at large.

Till now, Mumbai Police's Crime Branch has arrested nine people in connection to the assassination. Out of these, five were arrested on Friday in a raid in Panvel and Karjat in neighbouring Raigad district.

Meanwhile, a post by one of Lawrence Bishnoi's shooters stated that Baba Siddique was killed due to his connection with the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and close association with Lawrence Bishnoi's arch-enemy Bollywood star Salman Khan.
