Belagavi Traffic Advisory: The Congress Working Committee (CWC) will host a two-day event in Belagavi, Karnataka, on December 26 and 27 to mark the 100th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi's 1924 session of the Indian National Congress. The event will begin on December 26 with a meeting, the ‘Nav Satyagraha Baithak,’ followed by a rally on December 27 called ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan.’

Congress top leaders, including party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and other senior leaders, will attend the event. Traffic adjustments will be in effect in Belagavi on December 26 and 27.

Belagavi Traffic Diversions

Congress Road, stretching from the 2nd Railway Gate in Tilakwadi to Maratha Colony, will be temporarily closed on these dates. Motorists are advised to take the alternative route via Goaves Circle and the RPD route.

On December 27, access will be restricted to vehicles attending the convention along routes through Channamma Circle, Club Road, Gandhi Circle, Shaurya Circle, Shakti Park and Global Theater Marg. Additionally, heavy vehicles will not be allowed to enter the city from any direction until the conclusion of the event on December 27.

Belagavi Prohibited Parking Areas

Parking will be prohibited on Congress Road (from Channamma Circle to the 3rd Railway Gate) and Club Road (from Channamma Circle to Gandhi Circle) during the celebrations.

For those entering from Khanapur, the recommended route includes the 3rd Gate Railway Flyover, RPD Circle, Goaves Circle and Old PB Road. Similarly, vehicles leaving the city towards Khanapur should follow Old PB Road and the specified routes.

Drivers are urged to adhere to the revised traffic guidelines and cooperate with authorities to facilitate smooth traffic management during this important occasion.
