Bengal Weather: Several areas of North Bengal may see severe to extremely heavy rainfall between June 13 and June 15 due to a strengthening of southerly wind flow and moisture intrusion from the Bay of Bengal, according to the most recent meteorological bulletin.
There is a good chance of thunderstorms in one or two locations in the districts of Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, Coochbehar, and North Dinajpur in north Bengal, along with gusty winds of 40 to 50 kmph, lightning, and light to moderate rainfall.
Similar meteorological conditions, including gusty winds of up to 30 to 40 kmph, lightning, and light to moderate rainfall, are expected in one or two locations in the districts of North and South 24 Parganas, East and West Medinipur, Howrah, Kolkata, Bankura, and Jhargram in south Bengal.

The districts of Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, Coochbehar, and North Dinajpur in North Bengal are once again forecast to have thunderstorms with gusty winds (40–50 kmph), lightning, and light to moderate rainfall in one or two spots.
There is a high probability of 7–11 cm of heavy rainfall in one or two locations within the Jalpaiguri district.
North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, East Medinipur, West Medinipur, Nadia, Purulia, Bankura, and Jhargram districts are all forecast to have thunderstorms with gusty winds (30–40 kmph), lightning, and light to moderate rainfall in one or two spots in south Bengal.
