Bengal Weather: Thunderstorms and rainfall have been forecasted for the South Bengal districts on Wednesday and Thursday. After a rise in temperatures across the state, particularly in South Bengal districts, including Kolkata, the weather is expected to shift once again. The Meteorological Department has forecast significant changes in the weather conditions for these regions.
Weather conditions in South Bengal are expected to change from Wednesday afternoon, bringing relief from the heat. The Meteorological Department has forecast thunderstorms and rain for the coastal and western districts on Wednesday and Thursday. Along with the rain, gusty winds of 30 to 40 km/h are likely to occur in several areas.
This shift in weather is expected to lower temperatures across South Bengal, including Kolkata, providing some respite from the ongoing heat and reducing the overall discomfort.
Nadia, East Midnapore, North 24 Parganas, Bankura, Burdwan and Murshidabad districts may receive rain on April 8. This rainfall may provide relief from the ongoing heat wave.
No Rain In North Bengal
The Meteorological Department has indicated a chance of rain in the districts of South Bengal, but currently, there is no such forecast for the districts of North Bengal. According to the Meteorological Office, temperatures in North Bengal are expected to remain stable over the next four to five days.
The weather department's forecast suggests that most parts of the country are expected to experience above-normal temperatures from April to June. However, there is a chance of normal rainfall in April, which may help moderate the summer heat to some extent.
