Bengaluru-based CEO Anuradha Tiwari, who recently stirred controversy following her ‘Brahmin genes’ post, has come once again in focus after a new post about reservation policies following the suicide of a Brahmin girl. The 19-year-old died by suicide after family’s financial woes prevented her from pursuing her desired stream in Class 11. Tiwari, took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express her frustration, pointing out that while there is significant budget allocation for reserved categories, there is little to no support for “poor Brahmins” and those in the general category. She also urged people to “unite and fight back”.

“A Brahmin girl commits suicide because her father couldn’t afford her education. Budget allocation for Reserved categories is around 2.8 lakh crores. Lakhs of crores for them while poor Brahmins and GCs are left to die. This is why we must unite and fight back!” wrote Tiwari on X.

Tiwari’s Brahmin Genes Controversy

An X post by Anuradha Tiwari triggered a massive debate in the Indian social media space recently after she posted a picture of herself flexing her tricep and captioned it "Brahmin genes". The post attracted support and backlash in nearly equal proportions. As critics accused her for promoting casteism, Tiwari reinforced her stance in subsequent posts.

"As expected, a mere mention of word 'Brahmin' triggered many inferior beings. Tells a lot about who real casteists are. UCs get nothing from system - no Reservation, no freebies. We earn everything on our own and have every right to be proud of our lineage. So, deal with it," she wrote after her original post went viral.

Tiwari's X timeline reflects her vocal opposition to caste-based reservation. Her pinned post on X reads, "I am general category student. My ancestors have passed me down 0.00 acres land. I live in a rented house. I couldn’t get admission despite scoring 95% but my classmate who scored 60% & comes from well off family gets admission. And you ask me why I have problem with reservation?"
