Bengaluru Traffic News: As the city prepares for the much-anticipated Aero India Show, scheduled to start on February 10 at the Yelahanka Air Station, heavy traffic congestion has already begun affecting the area. On Saturday morning, commuters reported being stuck in long jams for hours.

Travelers heading to Kempegowda International Airport are advised to plan their routes carefully, as the delays may impact their travel schedules. Numerous videos shared on social media depicted a five-kilometre-long traffic jam, with many vehicles immobilised on the roads. The arrival of visitors, participants and delegates for the Aero India Show had prompted Bengaluru police to issue warnings about potential traffic issues.

Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Check Alternative Routes To Kempegowda International Airport

From Bengaluru East: Travel via K.R. Puram, Hennur Cross, Kottanur, and Gubbi Cross to reach Mylanahalli Begur back gate for KIAL.

From Bengaluru West: Take Goraguntepalya, BEL Circle, and Gangamma Circle en route to KIAL.

From Bengaluru South: Use Mysore Road, Nayandahalli, and Chandra Layout to reach the airport.

Bengaluru Traffic Police Warn Of Severe Congestion

Bengaluru Traffic Police have also alerted the public about severe congestion near the Air Force Station. "Severe traffic congestion at BSF Campus Yelahanka towards Airport Roads. Commuters are requested to cooperate," they announced. Authorities have recommended alternative routes for those heading to the airport, advising the use of Hennur Cross and Bagalur Road to reach the airport's South gate.

Bengaluru: Flight Operations May Face Delays

The Aero India Show is likely to affect flight operations, with airlines possibly issuing notifications regarding delays or cancellations to ease passenger inconvenience. Rehearsals for the biennial event have already commenced.

As Bengaluru welcomes a surge of visitors, hotels are fully booked, coinciding with the state government's Global Investors Summit. With both major events happening simultaneously, traffic congestion is expected to worsen in the days ahead.
