Bengaluru Viral News: A video from Bengaluru’s Indiranagar area has gone viral, showing a young man allegedly under the influence of alcohol arguing with a woman traffic police officer. The incident took place on the busy 100-ft Road, near a pub, where police were carrying out routine checks.

According to reports, the man was stopped for a breath test by the traffic team. Instead of cooperating, he began shouting at the officer and refused to follow instructions. In the video circulating on social media, he is heard asking the officer to speak in Hindi or English instead of Kannada, saying he could not understand the local language. He is also seen raising his voice in an attempt to intimidate her.

The video quickly gained attention online, leading to strong criticism of the man’s behaviour. Several posts described the incident as not just drunken misbehaviour but also disrespect towards a woman in uniform. One post noted that such acts show “no fear, no respect” for the law and demanded strict action.

Bengaluru Police later confirmed that a First Information Report (FIR) had been filed against the youth. The department also released a video message on social media, warning that disorderly behaviour under the influence of alcohol would invite immediate police action. “No Fear, No Respect: Drunk Youth Challenges Women Police Authority in Public…This is not just drunken misbehaviour it is outright contempt for the law and a dangerous example of how entitled some people feel when confronted by authority.” the message said.

It also added, “This incident calls for immediate legal action to send a strong message: drunkenness is no excuse for disrespect, intimidation or obstructing a public servant. Bengaluru deserves roads and public spaces where law and order are respected, and no individual drunk or sober should feel emboldened to behave like this with an officer in uniform.”
