Bengaluru Namma Metro Update: The construction of the much-awaited Bengaluru Namma Metro's Red Line is ongoing, and the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) stated that the work is likely to be finished within the deadline. The metro line will connect Hebbal with Sarjapura and is expected to start operation by the end of 2030, reported Times Now, citing a Magic Bricks report. The project is part of the Bangalore Metro Phase 3A project and is expected to reduce traffic congestion and cut the travel time significantly.
While providing details, the BMRCL stated that the metro line will also provide convenience to thousands of IT employees by reducing the traffic congestion in several key areas. Apart from this, the Red Line will also give a boost to the financial activities in multiple areas.

“In the initial phase, apart from the terminal stations R.V. Road and Bommasandra, only five key stations will be operational. With just three trains, we can manage one every half-hour. As we receive more train sets, we plan to increase frequency and progressively open more stations along the route,” a senior BMRCL official was quoted as saying by The Hindu.
