In a major drug bust, Bengaluru Police on Saturday detained 130 people, including 35 women, from a rave party held on the outskirts of Bengaluru, near Devigere Cross. All the accused were in their 20s. The raids were conducted at 3 AM on Saturday based on a tip-off to the Kaggalipura station and were led by R Srinivas Gowda, SP Bengaluru South. Subsequently, the police have detained the party organisers, who are currently undergoing interrogation.
All the detained people have been sent for a medical test to verify the consumption of narcotics, the police said. Based on preliminary investigation, it has been revealed that the property is said to belong to a person named Suhas Gowda. “The party was organised through a WhatsApp group communique. Consumption of ganja is suspected," Deccan Herald quoted a source as saying.
"The property had no permission but operated as a homestay. The investigators have made certain recoveries that will be forensically analysed. The organisers and owners of the property, which had no license, have been questioned," Gowda added, quoted Deccan Herald.

The police formally arrested three individuals (including the organizer), while 28 others were released on bail. Items seized included approximately 60 grams of hashish, 3 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of "hydro-ganja," and smaller amounts of ganja.
